About the artist

Marczweski’s painting method is like an alchemist. When he is creating colour, he is not only dealing with the pigment but also the paint’s materiality. Everything underneath the surface is movement.

The many layers of oil and pigments give his paintings a meditative depth and provide the sober bright colour palette that characterizes a real Marczewski.
